Transformations

Congratulations to each of these groups!

Sonic - How Successful People Think

Congratulations to this amazing group from Sonic! I am so proud of how they challenged their thinking by engaging in this process of growth through the 11 thinking skills of successful people. It was amazing to watch them apply new insights week in and week out and hear how much of a difference it was making in their current conditions and circumstances. I am excited to share some of them with you:

  • I had shut off my thinking because it was so negative and just went through my days. This process and material has taught me to think in a positive way and changed my days for the better. Life Changing!
  • Exposed me to new areas of successful thinking that I have missed. I can now describe what successful thinking is and what it means to me.
  • I was so nervous coming into this class, because I have never done anything like it, but I am so glad I did. I have changed my thinking and things are improving because of pushing myself to think better.
  • I love going through these classes because you force us to apply what we are learning.
  • I didn’t have the freedom to try new things because of a fear of failure (I was raised that you only do things if you can do them right) and this group helped free me up to try new things.

Good Shepherd Community Clinic - DISC Personalities

I am extremely proud of this group for the way they took themselves on, purposefully engaged in this process of development. We worked through understanding our personal leadership styles and how to adapt to the styles of those around us using the DISC model of human behavior. Here are some of their top takeaways:

  • Change and conflict can be healthy.
  • I am clearer with communication and direction
  • I learned that I can be a great leader without changing who I am. I was trying to be someone I was not and it caused a lot of stress instead of just adapting.
  • I've learned how to hear more objectively based on other’s personalities and adjust rather than taking what they say personally.
  • The only thing I can control is my actions and my reactions, not other's thoughts and opinions of me.
  • I realized that I couldn't just do surface work, I had to go deeper and see myself more objectively because the way I see myself is not always how others see me.
  • I am now engaging in difficult conversations with candor. Growing even stronger relationships with my team.
  • Have lowered my self doubt which has given me much more security. I now see my value.

Taco Casa - Becoming a Person of Influence

What an amazing group that stretched themselves and their leadership ability to influence others. I wish you could have heard all the stories of impact, significance and growth throughout this mastermind group. Leadership is like investing, it compounds. Some of their Top Wins & Learns:

  • 25 years of teaching others to make tacos and now empowering others to lead.
  • Learning to connect, enlarge, navigate, and empower others.
  • Seeing the multiplication effect of leadership.
  • Shifting from making tacos to making People.
  • I am influencing all the time, positively or negatively, it depends on how intentional I am.
  • People will do anything to live up to your faith in them.
  • It’s not what we are that holds us back but what we think we are not.
  • Listening especially past the point of disagreement.
  • The key to success and leadership is understanding people - why they do what they do, we have to hear them.
  • If you want to help people succeed you have to get to know them.
  • We build people who build tacos.

Lighthouse - Sometimes You Win Sometimes You Learn

Inspired! Wow this group blew me away as they opened up in our mastermind group and grew together through Sometimes You Win Sometimes You Learn. I am so proud of each of you for the growth and changes you have made throughout your life and the ones during our time together. Some of their biggest wins and learns:

  • RESPONSIBILITY is the most important ability a person can possess.
  • Learning to feed the right emotions because the one I feed dominates. No longer feeding guilt and shame.
  • It's not a failure unless I don’t learn from it. Focus on learning the right lesson.
  • Accepting feedback and criticism without DEFENDING myself.
  • My Attitude has gotten so much better - and not allowing others to control it.
  • No longer getting wrapped up in negativity
  • More positive attitude
  • I cannot control anyone's views, actions or attitudes BUT I can control mine.
  • The only person I can change is myself.
  • If you're not making mistakes you're not trying - mistakes are not failures - only failures if I quit.
  • Experiences, positive or negative, are only valuable if you evaluate to gain the lesson and apply it.

REI Oklahoma - Leading Through Crisis

Over a period of a few months, this team has invested in their growth by digging into the 11 Perspective Principles of Turning Adversity into Advantage. They dove into the deep end on these topics to serve, encourage, and grow each other through all life has thrown at them over the last couple of years.

During our last session we built upon that foundation and worked on developing a vision of where they want to go using the Law of Navigation.

We started by defining reality, a leader’s first responsibility. Then we began to clarify their vision of how they want to grow and perform as a team.
